House of Comedy, is a non-smoking showroom, conveniently located at Middleton Hall in Waldorf, Md.

We bring in top comedians from around the country to show that Southern Maryland- Prince George’s and Charles County is thriving with new entertainment. Comedians from Def Comedy Jam, BET, Comedy Central, Wildin' Out, Laugh Out Loud and more will grace our stage and bring entertainment vibrancy to the area. We will also bring local and regional comedians in to hone their craft and share the stage with some of the largest names in comedic history.

House of Comedy is perfect for date nights, group parties, special events and fundraisers. With 20+ years of experience in the comedic world and a full kitchen staff, led by Chef Kendall Selby, we know with comedy, great food and a variety of unique beverages, you and your friends will have a good time. WHERE DO OUR COMEDIANS COME FROM?

Our headliners are among the top comedians touring the country. Many of them have been on Def Comedy Jam, BET, The Late Show Circuit, HBO, Showtime and Comedy Central, as well as other television programs and feature films. Many of them you may have heard of or seen; others not, but they are all funny.

Feature (middle) acts are generally up-and-coming comedians from throughout the U.S., although we also occasionally dip into our strong pool of local talent for feature acts.

HOW ARE THE SHOWS “RATED”?

Most shows are the equivalent to movies in the PG-13 to R-rated categories. This is live comedy and it is for adults, so it is spontaneous and you should expect some adult language and content. We also have some shows in the PG range and even Gospel; on the other hand, some shows are very adult-oriented; these shows are generally noted on our calendar. If you have a question about a particular comedian, you might check him or her out online, or give us a call.

House of Comedy is on the border of Prince George’s County in Waldorf, Charles County, Md. Always a non-smoking showroom and club, conveniently located inside MIDDLETON HALL- 4045 Renner Road, Waldorf, MD.

WHERE DO WE PARK?

Free parking is available in the large surface parking lot around our building.

WHAT ARE YOUR SHOWTIMES?

We generally have shows Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Thursday and Sunday shows start times will be determined. Please note that dates and show times can vary, so always check our calendar.

WHAT TIME DO I NEED TO BE THERE?

For better seat selection arrive early. The showroom doors generally open 30 minutes before show time, except for our late shows which is predicated on the duration of the early show.

IS THERE A DRINK MINIMUM?

There is a 2-DRINK per person minimum for all shows, no exceptions. We have food and beverage service inside our showroom. The 2-DRINK per person minimum consists of DRINKS ONLY. It does not have to be alcohol, The 2 item minimum is a standard Comedy Club procedure nationally, as well as here at House of Comedy!

HOW DO I PURCHASE TICKETS?

You may purchase tickets to our shows in advance online at on our website or in person at the House of Comedy box office beginning at 5:00 p.m. the night of the show. If you choose to purchase tickets at the box office, please make sure you check the website prior to arrival to see if the show is SOLD OUT. Once the show is sold out, you will not be able to purchase tickets at the box office. There are additional service fees for online and credit card purchases. Many shows do sell out, so we do recommend advance purchase. Please note that our coupons, Groupons and discounts cannot be used for designated special event shows. Please check our online calendar to find out which shows are so designated. Certain coupons will not be valid for Saturday shows. If that restriction applies, it will be printed on your coupon. Please check the specific coupon for validity details. Comedy tickets make great gifts! House of Comedy Gift Certificates are also available for purchase. Please contact us for more information.

CAN WE GET RESERVED SEATS?

Yes. Reserved tickets may be purchased on line or at the box office. Standard VIP Packages include: VIP line accommodation and reserved seating near the stage. We also have VIP Packages that include a dedicated cocktail server and bottle service.

All other seating is general admission. After checking in at the box office, you will be escorted to a table by one of our dedicated host. Our late shows on Friday and Saturday normally may require a wait. We encourage you to arrive early if you prefer sitting close to the stage. Please note that in order to seat large parties, the entire party must be present in order to be seated.

CAN WE GET SEATS TOGETHER FOR A GROUP?

Yes. We have VIP Booths. Our VIP Booths seats (6). Large groups of 6 or more must make Reservations through our promotions department that handles large groups, special events and VIP reservations. Once your group reservation has been secured, we ask that your group arrives together. If you arrive late to a full show, we may have to seat your group separately. ARE YOU SMOKE-FREE?

There is no smoking or vaping allowed inside of our facility. This includes no E-cigarettes or vaporizers, etc. There is an outside area where smoking is allowed.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY

Our facility is handicap friendly with easy wheelchair accessibility. We offer large handicap accessible restrooms with grip bars.

SHOWTIME

Doors open 30 minutes before each show! The showroom will open approximately 15-20 minutes after the show in progress ends.

We play old school /R&B/Soul/Jazz and Pop at a low volume before the show and show some previews of upcoming shows.

KITCHEN SERVICE

We prepare food to order and want you dinner to be perfect.
Our kitchen stops serving food when the Headliner takes the stage.
Customers may not bring food or drink of any kind into the House of Comedy.

WILL I HAVE A SERVER?

Yes. Food and drinks inside the showroom are served by our well-trained wait staff. VIP and groups will have a dedicated server assigned to their tables. Our shows usually feature three comedians, including the headliner, and generally last 90 – 100 minutes. Your server will begin closing your check about 30 minutes before the show ends.

WILL CALL

Most parties arriving 15 minutes before the show WILL WAIT IN-LINE. If we are busy, you may not be able to be seated for the show. You must arrive BEFORE show time to claim a WILL CALL ticket.
